Housing Assignments: Housing assignments will start to be announced on student’s Housing Portal the middle of June, as well as emailed to student’s Webster email address. Updates with new assignments or changes will be made biweekly until move-in.
Housing Contract: Priority deadline for submitting your Housing Contract on the Housing Portal is March 1. Applications may still be accepted after that deadline depending on space, and staff will do their best to still accommodate preferences.
Housing Accommodations: If there are accommodation requests, such as a medical need for a single or emotional support animal, students should also try to renew or confirm their accommodations as soon as possible. After Housing assignments are made, accommodations cannot be guaranteed.
Housing Assignments: Returner Room Self-Selection will take place March 25-29, and that is when students with contracts will come and physically select their space. Students who submit a Housing Contract will be sent specific instructions to their Webster email on when and how to come and select their space. Students who are unavailable to come pick their specific room will be given options for a proxy, or to have Housing Staff assign them based on open spaces at the end of their room selection night.
Summer 2024 Housing
Summer 2024 Housing
Summer housing applications for active Webster students open over Spring Break each year. Priority deadline for Summer housing applications is April 20, but applications will be accepted after on a rolling basis, as space allows. The summer application covers the Summer term when classes are in session (May 27–July 26), signing up for Bridge 1 (from the end of the Spring 2024 semester to the beginning of the summer term) and signing up for Bridge 2 (from the end of the summer term to the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester).
Living on campus gives added value to the college experience. National research shows that students who live on campus do better academically, are more engaged and have a smoother transition. Because of that, Webster has a two-year residency requirement. Even if a student is not required to live on campus, we encourage them to do so — and many do!
Requirement Details
All freshmen enrolled at the St. Louis main campus are required to live on campus for their first two years at the University. Exceptions to this requirement are granted for freshmen living with their parents within a 35-mile radius of the main campus in Webster Groves.
