Asynchronous classes allow you to work from any location, at times that are convenient to you. All course content is accessed through WorldClassRoom. Courses replicate the Webster classroom experience in a fully online format, providing interaction between faculty and students without requiring a specific class meeting time.

Webster’s Live Virtual programs provide students with the best of the online and classroom experience. In Live Virtual classes, a portion of your work will be completed online, and each week you will have a class meeting with your professor and classmates via teleconferencing software. Live Virtual is ideal for students who appreciate the self-management aspects of traditional online classes, but also want opportunities for real-time interaction and discussion with their professor.

51³ÉÈËÁÔÆæ, Est. Online 1999, Welcome to Worldclassroom, www/webster.edu/online

[Man sits on a couch in student lab with computers, mouses, hard drives, notebooks, electrical cords, books and speakers on tables behind him.]

Ken Griffin: My name is Ken Griffin, and I'm from St. Louis, Missouri. I'm completing my Masters in Business with an Emphasis in Management and Leadership.

[Light instrumental music can be heard playing softly in the background throughout the video.]

Griffin: When looking for a college to attend for a master's program I wanted something that I could do online primarily, and also, have a home campus locally. So I was researching several colleges in the area, and Webster was the best fit for my schedule and for the location of my home.

[Griffin in the same student lab, now on a couch with computers, mouse, hard drives, notebooks, electrical cords, books and windows on tables behind him.]

Griffin: The hardest part about getting a degree online or getting a degree is finding the balance between work life, education and personal life.

[A building face is shown with the building name CHARLES F. KNIGHT EMERGENCY AND TRAUMA CENTER]

[Griffin sits in front of his two monitors, keyboards using his mouse and landline phone. A box of tissues, Post-it notes, and a lamp are also on the desk. One monitor is showing a weekly work schedule.]

[An ambulance is shown with its lights flashing, driving down a street.]

Griffin: In taking two classes every nine weeks, for myself it was a little stressful at times when I had major projects going on at work, major projects at home, and major projects in class, it's like, where do I find the time to have Ken be Ken?

[Light instrumental music can be heard playing softly in the background throughout the video.]

[Griffin looks over a spreadsheet or blueprint of something with another person on a desk with a computer with monitors, mouse, keyboard and printer with paper.]

[Griffin stands at the front of a class talking to the students seated in front.]

[Griffin is dressed in scrubs, and face and hair masks, ID lanyard around his neck and red tennis shoes, coming through double doors in a hospital setting. He takes off his face mask as he comes through the doors.]

Griffin: But it works out in the end because you're able to find the balance in all of it, and the professors and instructors are so understanding and accommodating that they understand that life happens to you sometimes. So that was the most stressful, but then again, it's also another positive about Webster.

[Griffin in a student lab on a couch with computers, mouse, hard drives, notebooks, electrical cords, books and window light on tables behind him.]

[Light instrumental music continues playing softly in the background throughout the video.]

[Griffin in the same student lab but from a different angle on a couch with computers, mouse, hard drives, notebooks, electrical cords, books and speakers on tables behind him.]

Griffin: When thinking about taking online programs the one thing I recommend to students is actually ‘make yourself a schedule.’ That's the one thing that I did the entire course of my online degree. I made a schedule that I set to, that I kept and maintained the entire time of when I should study or when I should participate in class, so it kept me on track, and I knew exactly what to do every day.

[Griffin in the same student lab on a couch from another angle with computers, mouse, hard drives, notebooks, electrical cords, books and window light on tables behind him.]

Griffin: What appealed to me most about Webster was their (its) presence around the world. When thinking about a college or university I want something that's known worldwide, and Webster has so many campuses, not only online, but in other countries and other states, and I wanted to be a part of a, you know, a community such as that.

Griffin: My name is Ken Griffin, and I am proud to be a Gorlok.

[Instrumental light, bouncy music gets louder and louder signaling the end.]
