Designed for teachers who want to help non-native English speakers develop their use of the a foreign language, the Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) guides students in becoming the educators who make a difference.
Graduate students in the TEFL certificate program learn about second language acquisition, curriculum development and language cultures. With a selection of elective courses, they also have the opportunity to study language history and linguistics.
TEFL Points of Distinction
- Instructors have master's degrees, most in TESOL/TEFL. Many work as a teacher trainers, and have years of experience teaching English both in the U.S. and abroad.
